From Alexandra township - follow the bitumen road 4 km from the CFA shed in Shamrock Street.
From the Maroondah Highway - heading to Yea, approximately 2 kilometres north of Alexandra, look out for Endicott Road and the sign 'To Maintongoon Road'.  (Endicott Road is between the Josephine and Eglington Cuttings). Turn into Endicott Road (some gravel). At the next intersection proceed straight ahead into Maintongoon Road (bitumen).
'Maybole' is 4 kilometres from the corner of the Highway and Endicott Road.

Maintongoon Road is a quiet back road with very little through traffic, the cottage is on the left hand side behind a fine stand of large oaks.
